Recipe:
2 oz. Shāng 

Garnish:  
¼ Tsp. Shitake Powdered Mushroom Rim (1.25 mls) 
OR Pork Dumplings & Fermented Soy Sauce 
OR One Steamed Milk Bread Bun (Mantou)  

Glassware:
Reidel Tequila Flute or Whiskey Cairn 

Method of Preparation:  
Ritual 1: Rim the glass with Mushroom Powder, Pour Baijiu Whiskey
Ritual 2: Sip Baijiu Whiskey and take a bite of Mantou
Ritual 3: Dip Dumpling into Soy Sauce, take a bite and then sip Baijiu Whiskey

 

INSPIRATION

Chaos Theory, sometimes called the “Butterfly Effect”, suggests that something as small as the flapping of a butterfly’s wings can have vast consequences throughout the world over time.  This principle is clearly illustrated depending on how you drink Shang Baijiu Whiskey.  Each ritual above showcases the distillate in a very different way, appealing to different parts of the palate.
